Why every answer has a source
Trivia lists online are full of "facts" nobody checked: the Great Wall visible from space, goldfish with three-second memories. Here every question was written for this site and checked against a primary or standard source, and facts that can change carry an "as of" date. The explanation after each answer says why it's right, and often why the tempting wrong answer isn't. Read how we write questions.
A fact a day, with the source
The fact of the day at the top of this page changes at midnight UTC. All 58 facts are listed by topic on the fun facts page, each with a short explanation and the source it was checked against. They're short and work-safe, so they suit a team meeting, a classroom or a tiebreaker.
